ROCKS TO DEFEND TRI-COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPThe Minor Bantam Shamrocks are set to defend their TriCounty Championship against the Brampton Battalion. After two poor showings in a row, a loss to Owen Sound and a victory over Guelph, the Rocks will have to come with a much better effort against the Battalion. ROCKS OFF TO BOSTON
The Minor Bantam Shamrocks will be travelling to Boston Massachusetts from April 6 - 11 to participate in a tournament. Further details to follow once the game schedule has been posted.
MINOR BANTAM'S CAPTURE GOLD
The Minor Bantam Shamrocks captured GOLD at the 2009 Hespeler Olympic Tournament held over the Christmas holidays. The Rock's started the tournament with a 3 -1 victory over the Guelph Storm. Their second game featured a 3 - 2 victory over the Oakridge Aeros from the London area. The Rocks kept going with a 7 - 4 pounding of Hamilton before closing out the round-robin with a 2-2 tie versus the Flamborough Sabres. Poised for the gold medal game, the Rock's took on the Guelph Storm again and although close through 2 periods, blew the game open in the third for a 5 - 0 win and the Gold Medal. The Rocks are 15-6-4 with three games remaining in the regular season. Playoffs are just around the corner!
